Get ready for high-octane excitement as Baja SAE Arizona 2025 rolls into Marana in just a few weeks. From May 1st through the 4th, Post Farms (home to the Marana Pumpkin Patch) will transform into a thrilling proving ground for college engineering teams from across North America.

Baja SAE, hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), challenges university students to design, build, and race single-seat, all-terrain vehicles capable of conquering extreme off-road conditions. The competition mimics real-world engineering and manufacturing scenarios, testing not just speed but also durability, ergonomics, and cost-efficiency.

This year’s event will welcome 80 teams from the United States, Mexico, Canada, and as far away as India. Hometown favorites from the University of Arizona along with Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University will also compete. It’s a unique opportunity to witness innovation, teamwork, and mechanical grit in action.

Event Details

Location: Post Farms (Marana Pumpkin Patch), 14950 N Trico Rd, Marana, AZ

Saturday, May 3 – Starts at 9:00 a.m. Teams will participate in acceleration, maneuverability, sled pull, suspension, and traction competitions.

Sunday, May 4 – Starts at 9:30 a.m., all teams will put their machines to the ultimate test in a four-hour endurance race.

Gates open at 8 a.m. both days

Spectator Reminder: For everyone’s safety, please follow all on-site signage and event rules.
