Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary

This trailhead gives visitors access to 6 miles of trails in the Arthur Park Regional Park, which offer serene, remote vibes in an accessible suburban park. It’s an excellent spot for beginner mountain bikers, as well as for hiking, running, and walking dogs on a leash. | Location: 9201 N Thornydale Rd.

Picacho Peak State Park

The 1,500-foot peak is a natural wonder and an iconic landmark in Southern Arizona. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the wildflower meadows at the base of the peak, or challenge yourself to a more strenuous hike up to the peak’s summit on Hunter’s Trail. | Location: 15520 Picacho Peak Rd
