CAP Trail
The CAP Trail is a hidden gem in Marana, perfect for hiking, biking and horseback riding! This trail runs along the Central Arizona Project (CAP) canal, which distributes water from the Colorado River throughout Arizona.
The trail follows the CAP canal’s elevated maintenance road from Tangerine Road in Marana all the way north to Pinal County's Park Link Drive. This ride covers approximately 16 miles of flat, non-technical riding.
There is no shade or water available so plan ahead!
The elevation of this trail gives you great views across the region and the ability to ride more than 30 miles round-trip!
This project is the result of a partnership between the Town of Marana, Pima County, CAP, and the Bureau of Reclamation staff.
