Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary
The Maeveen Behan Desert Sanctuary trailhead fits about 10 vehicles in its natural-surfaced lot, and provides easy access to 6 miles of trails in the southern part of Arthur Pack Regional Park. The trails offer gentle grades and a surprisingly remote feeling experience for a suburban park. Trails are well suited for beginning mountain bicyclists and hand cycles. This urban oasis is named for Maeveen Behan, a lawyer and visionary environmental planner who played a leading role in developing Pima County's Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan.
