Mission San Xavier del Bac
Mission San Xavier del Bac is a National Historic Landmark, founded as a Catholic mission in 1692 by Father Eusebio Kino, who played a significant role in the history of Southern Arizona and Sonora.
The current church, built between 1783 and 1797, is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona.
The Mission is often lauded as one of the best examples of Spanish Colonial architecture in the United States.
