Old Tucson
Step back in time at Old Tucson, a film set turned beloved Western-themed family theme park. Old Tucson is one of the top attractions in Southern Arizona, where visitors can enjoy action-packed Wild West shows, hilarious musical theater performances, actors in period costumes, family rides and games, shops and dining, and much more.
The buildings and streets of Old Tucson have been made famous by some legendary actors in the Western genre’s top movies and TV shows. More than 400 productions have been filmed at Old Tucson, including classic westerns like Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, The High Chaparral, Tombstone, and the 1940 film Arizona, which the set was originally constructed for. Actors including John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Steve Martin, Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor, and Martin Short have starred in movies and TV shows filmed at Old Tucson. The park and set pieces continue to be used for filming to this day.
Every fall, Old Tucson hosts Nightfall, a frightful experience filled with comedy, drama, and mystery that embraces the history of Old Tucson. Starting after Thanksgiving and running through Christmas, the park hosts Yuletide, an immersive, family-friendly combination of the Old West feel and holiday magic. Each event has new shows and an updated background story each year, so you can expect something different every time you come back!
Throughout the year, Old Tucson hosts guided historical tours and ghost tours, as well as concerts, open-air markets, and other events.

Getting to Old Tucson
Old Tucson can be accessed several ways. The direct route off Interstate 10 is via Gates Pass Road, a winding, scenic path through the Tucson Mountains. You can also take a more scenic route, by using exit 236 off I-10, going through Marana, and taking Sandario Rd. to Kinney Rd. You’ll pass through Saguaro National Park West on your way! The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is also located near Old Tucson.
