See Elite Racers at the Tucson Bicycle Classic: Marana Time Trial
Professional Cyclists from around the world are expected at the Tucson Bicycle Classic: Marana Time Trial on February 21st. You're invited to watch the action or volunteer!
The Tucson Bicycle Classic will kick off its first stage in the scenic Town of Marana with an individual time trial event. Cyclists and spectators alike can expect a thrilling start to the race against the backdrop of Marana's picturesque landscapes as competitors race against the clock.
The Marana Time Trial Prologue is a short, flat 4.5 mile / 7.2 km point-to-point course. New this year, the course uses a new section of the Chuck Huckelberry Loop passing by two parks and beautiful mountain vistas. The prologue will create the first leaders of the General Classification. This will be Eddie Merckx style.
Spectators are welcome to come and enjoy this event and cheer on the riders as they race against the clock.

Where: Gladden Farms Community Park, 12205 N Tangerine Farms Rd, Marana, AZ 85653
Things to know: Bring chairs, food trucks will be on-site, come for as long as you'd like

The Tucson Bicycle Classic is need of both volunteers and host housing for racers! For the Marana Time Trial a variety of positions are still open and require no experience--the organizers will help you!

To learn more about Host Housing click here. Host Housing is a great way to help up-and-coming cyclists keep their costs low while they grow in the sport. You'll get insight into how racers prepare for each day of the race and create new friendships.
Host families are asked to provide:
- A comfortable sleeping space, bed or air bed
- The use of a bathroom and shower
- Use of kitchen to prepare meals
- Counter and refrigerator space
- Use of your washer and dryer
- A secure place for the cyclist(s) to store their bicycle at night
- Note: You are NOT expected to provide food or transportation.
