Boba Cucue Receives Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award
Boba Cucue was presented with its 2024 Taste of Marana award during the town’s Concerts in the Courtyard on February 20, 2025.
MARANA, AZ – Less than a year after opening its doors, a locally owned boba shop in Marana is now an award-winning expanding business.
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, Discover Marana presented the Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award to Boba Cucue during the Concerts in the Courtyard event. “To be given the award is such an honor, it sounds silly that I am emotional about it, but we worked really hard for this,” owner Sharon Walker shared. “It has been such an adventure over the last year, I am so glad to be here.”
Boba Cucue is the fourth recipient of the award, which recognizes outstanding local food focused businesses based on community nominations. Walker, her family, and her team were in attendance Thursday to accept.
Submissions for this Taste of Marana STANDOUT award highlighted the shop’s use of fresh ingredients, excellent service, and a welcoming environment, along with delicious boba and a variety of choices on the menu.
“Amazing atmosphere with authentic Boba! The inside is charming, cheerful and brilliantly decorated! The staff love their work and take time to connect while providing orders in a timely manner,” – Kelci Camo (Taste of Marana Submission)
The shop, located at 8225 N Courtney Page Way in Marana, Arizona will mark its one-year anniversary on Saturday, February 22, 2025, with all day deals, gifts and celebrations.
“The Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award is entirely driven by community submissions, making it a true reflection of local appreciation,” said Stefanie Boe, Tourism and Marketing Manager for the Town of Marana. “It’s important to recognize people like Sharon and her team for the dedication and hard work they put into their business. Boba Cucue was nominated and approved in summer 2024, but they’ve been so busy making their business a success, finding the right time to present the award was a challenge!”
